GEO-INFORMATIONAL MAPPING

The Laboratory of Geo-informational Mapping was organized in 2003 as an inter-departmental structural subdivision, designed to provide research work for faculty, post-graduate students and senior students, who are doing course papers, diploma papers or scientific research.
The laboratory's material base includes modern computer equipment, software, large-format cartographic material output devices. Research adviser and a head of the laboratory is Associate professor Y. Nesterov. On the basis of the laboratory’s cartographic material there has been created a l fund  for the Central Chernozem region. A database on the demographic situation in the Voronezh Region (headed by Prof. Y. Porosenkov) is being created . A database on the state of the environment and health of the population of the Voronezh Region (headed by Prof. S. Kurolap) has been created and is being used in the educational process, as well as in research activities.
